This collaborative session offers a space to reflect on the STEM Learning Gatsby Project through the lens of Breckland School’s experience. It’s a chance to share challenges, ask questions, and support each other with the aim of implementing similar projects in meaningful ways across other schools.
A session imbued with a passion for creative writing that will include tips and tricks for battling writer's block for both you and your students. It will provide prompts and for students to approach creative writing in the best way suited to them, but also provide an opportunity to explore your own creative abilities as teachers.
Join Sadie for an inspiring session where we’ll explore how ethical vegan beliefs can deepen our understanding of Equalities, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and foster a sense of belonging. Ethical veganism, rooted in compassion and respect for all living beings, promotes the idea that every creature deserves to live free from harm and exploitation. This principle aligns closely with EDI, advocating for the fair treatment and inclusion of all individuals, regardless of their background or identity. We'll discuss how ethical veganism promotes environmental sustainability by reducing our ecological footprint, conserving resources, and protecting biodiversity. This commitment to preserving the environment mirrors the EDI principle of creating inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive. Just as ethical vegans avoid products that harm animals, we can strive to eliminate practices and policies that marginalise or exclude certain groups. Ethical veganism encourages us to see the interconnectedness of all life, fostering empathy and understanding—key components of EDI. As part of the session, you’ll also be given ideas to take away for your own personal practices and to share with your students.
