An introduction to The Wellness Curriculum. This will include looking at the five strands and how to implement this in different learning settings. We will share an insight to this alternative learning approach which can be used for those that may need a more tailored learning experience. This will include examples of purposeful activities which aim to contribute to a child’s social understanding, confidence and positive wellbeing, promoting inclusion.
We will explore some of the big ideas in mathematics such as multiplicative reasoning, consistent representations of methods, and inter-woven themes in algebra, including graphical representations of sequences, for example. You will leave with a toolbox of pedagogical approaches and resources to support this.
