In this session we will look at the new assessment requirements, discuss our ActiveHub resources and help you make the most of the course as well as look in more detail at certain aspects of the examination, such as the Speaking Exam. We will also discuss Assessment and progress from years 10 into 11 and hopefully you'll get ideas on how to maximise the progress of your GCSE students.
Wondering about EVI and MFL? Worried that we have so many words to teach in languages and EVI might seem overwhelming as an approach? Well, worry no more! In this session, we will get to grips with explicit vocabulary teaching, its main concepts and ideas and ensure that MFL can also robustly and precisely teach vocabulary in a way which helps students remember and use it confidently in written and oral responses. We will unpick threshold words and look at tiered vocabulary. This will be a planning and discussion session also, so please do come prepared with your own ideas as well!
A colleague from AQA is going to join us online to give a short webinar regarding the new GCSE MFL and in particular, the speaking examination. By this end of this session you will be more familiar with the format, timings and the differences between F and H tiers.
